Public Transport
Most European countries have an International airport, usually situated near the capital. Details of the Airports are given by each city in the ETG's.
Some countries are so small or mountaineous that it is physically impossible to built an airport.
Security around and in airports is very tight now and there strict rules what you are allowed to take with you onboard. You are advised to inform what is allowed at checkin time.
Most European capitals and major cities are connected to the international highspeed railway network. Electric trains speed with over 300 kilometers/hour to their next destination. They cross large rivers and drive through mountains and there is even an underwater connection to England: the Channel Tunnel.
In capitals and larger cities busses, electric streetcars and taxis form the public transportation system. They usually run from the very early morning until late night and in many cities 24 hours a day. |
