Summers are warm, but winters are very cold.
Minerals like coal and iron, supported by a strong hydro-eletric power industry, are important.
There are about 3.800.000 people living in an area of bout 52.000 square kilometers.
Languages spoken are Serbo-Croat and in the larger cities some German and English.
The capital of Bosnia Herzegovinia is Sarajevo.
